This tour of southern France is unique and exciting because it's a land-based tour focused on the French Riviera rather than the usual cruises. You will stay and one hotel in Nice, venturing out each day to a variety of locations. Included in the itinerary are explorations of Aix-en-Provence, Monte Carlo, the medieval city of Eze, Antibes and Cannes. There's an optional tour at a nominal price one day by motorcoach to Italy - the seaside town of Ventimiglia as well as San Remo.
At the end of this immersive stay in the French Riviera, an optional tour to Paris is available to add on to your French adventure. Travel by high speed train from Nice to Paris, then have a guided tour of the City of Light that first day. The next day in Paris is available to explore on your own. On the final day, you will be transferred to the de Gaulle Airport in Paris for the flight home. (You are always welcome to go into France earlier and to stay longer. We can help you with all those arrangements.) Donna Parker of Getaway Travel Specialists will be accompanying this tour. She and some other travelers will be heading to France a few days early and possibly staying a little longer.

What a fun place to be to start the Christmas holiday season! The lights in the area are fabulous, sample some moonshine and do some holiday shopping and moonshine tasting, enjoy a visit to the beautiful Biltmore in Asheville, view a couple great Christmas shows, explore the very moving Titanic memorial (one of only 2 in North America) and, of course, enjoy the iconic Dollyworld.
Price includes air, transfers, admissions, transportation, hotel, breakfasts and some dinners. Travel insurance is not included but highly recommended; insurance is something we can provide.
Your travel specialist, Nancy Porter, explored this area in the Christmas season a couple years ago and is well-familiar with the area.
Although the brochure says this tour is for Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District, anyone can go. This tour is also a fundraiser for that district and advertised there.

Cruise with us on a small ship with less than 700 passengers that can get into the fjords and ports that big ships can't access. This cruise also takes us to Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia which many cruises have ignored until now.
This is the area where our Getaway Travel Specialist and owner, Nancy Porter, has family history through several generations of ancestry. Stop in Aalborg at the tip of Denmark where Nancy's relatives set sail in the late 1800's for America. We also visit Finland, which her grandfather escaped after the Bolshevik Revolution to seek new adventures in North America.

CANADIAN ROCKIES & GLACIER NATIONAL PARK - AUGUST 12 - 18, 2026

By the time it gets to August, would you be feeling the need to cool off a bit in a wooded, northern climate? This trip could provide the perfect getaway.
Start by flying into Calgary, Alberta where you will be met by your professional tour director and taken to your Calgary hotel. In southern Canada, you'll visit the Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo Jump where you'll learn about the Native American tradition that took place over 6,000 years. You will also visit Waterton Lakes and see the spectacular Prince of Wales Hotel. You will cross the Canadian/U.S. border into Canada and stay in Glacier National Park. On Day 3, you'll explore Glacier National Park with your guide, eventually heading across the Continental Divide to Kalispell and Whitefish, Montana. On this trip, you will also stay in Banff, enjoying a 3-night stay and tours of highlights like Lake Louise, the Icefields Parkway and Banff. You will eventually go back to Calgary to fly home after this spectacular tour.

Is Mount Rushmore or Yellowstone on your bucket list?
This tour package is the way to see it! Fly into Rapid City where you will be met by your experienced tour director and taken to your downtown Rapid City hotel for a 3-night stay. From Rapid City, you'll venture out one day to historic Wall Drug Store and the Badlands. The next day, you'll be taken to Mt. Rushmore (day and the night-time ceremony) and to the hugely impressive Crazy Horse monument. On the way to Yellowstone, you'll stop at the Little Big Horn monument and have time to learn about Custer and his last stand. After a night in Billings, Montana, you will head to Cody, Wyoming and a visit to the Buffalo Bill Historic Center to learn about the town's namesake, Buffalo Bill. After that, you will enter Yellowstone through the East entrance and travel through the park. You will go past Yellowstone Lake, "painted" fumeroles and bubbling geothermal features on the way to your hotel in West Yellowstone and a following full day in the park. You will wind up your trip with a full day in Jackson with the Grand Tetons as a backdrop and a trip to Salt Lake City. This is a fabulous tour full of impressive sights. One that will definitely stay in your memory.
