What a train ride this will be!
Fly into Denver, stay at an included deluxe downtown hotel there, then board the train for your scenic journey through the wooded forests and craggy landscape of the Rocky Mountains of western Colorado. After an overnight stay in Glenwood Springs, the train will take you to Moab with it's distinctive red sandstone cliff formations. After the night in Moab, you will say goodbye to the train and venture to Salt Lake City for a local hotel stay, finally flying home from there.
This is a deluxe train trip with impeccable meal service and fantastic views from the spacious domed windows. You will travel during daylight hours, but stay in beautiful hotels with comfortable beds and bathrooms each night.

Christmas Markets River Cruise (Zurich to Paris) - Nov. 28-Dec. 10

We LOVE this Viking river cruise to kick off the holiday season and put us into that holiday mood! We especially like the itinerary - start in Zurich on Dec. 29 with our hotel next to the main train station's indoor Christmas market with its 50-ft Christmas tree covered in glittering Swarovski crystals. A couple days later, board your Viking river ship at the Rhine's headwaters in Basel, cruising past castles and stopping daily (and often into the evening) at several Christmas markets. At Koblenz, we'll turn off the Rhine and follow the Moselle to its navigable end in Trier and the nearby tiny country of Luxembourg. At Trier, we will transfer to a bus to Reims, France in the Champagne region. The Christmas market there is one of the top 5 Christmas markets in France! After a day and overnight there, we will head to Paris for a few days. In Paris, we will have a tour of the City's highlights, have time for optional touring as a group or on our own, and to enjoy one or two of the eight Christmas markets of Paris.
Onboard our ship, there will be cookie decorating, tree trimming and other Christmas activities. On one or two evenings, local entertainment will be brought onboard the ship for an extra-special holiday performance.

Explore the historic and picturesque area of eastern North Carolina, including the Outer Banks. After a flight into Raleigh, you will explore the city, then venture out to explore where the Wright Brothers achieved human flight, the area and story of the Lost City of Roanoke and the wild Atlantic coast with the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and wild horses frolicking on the beach. You will also enjoy quaint harbor towns in this week-long tour.
